Well, I am going to be totally serious, somber, sincere, sober, solemn
( why so many S?! ) and
humourless in this post :)
Ohmygod, 2009 is coming to an end. Time passes really like so damn fast right? ):
I mean like, few months ago, I was still lamenting about the syllabus of Form 4 and now, I passed the year
and of course, nearly failed my addmaths.
Well, lets reminisce about my life in 2009 alright? Looking back to the past.
- I joined the Oxford Cambridge English Essay competition at Sunway College.
- I was the cleanliness monitor ( or whatever you call it ) in my class.
- I stayed up really late in the first half year of 2009 ( and yes, I regretted about it )
- I've made some really awesome new friends, no matter in real life or on the internet.
- I finally got As for my Physic and Biology ( tips didn't really help much, mind you )
- I keep my blog active, yay me.
- My 16th birthday was bombastic.
- I realized how much I hate about gossipy guys.
- I abandoned my tablet, wtf.
- I've got an ipod.
- I dropped my cellphone in the pool.
- And I am still using my dad's old phone.
- I watched almost every ManUtd's match.
- I skipped almost every extra-curriculum activities.
- I went to Taiwan.
- I swear and curse, a lot. Shame on me.
I think, thats all.
What the fuck. Come to look at the list. Seriously, my 2009 was pretty pathetic huh? lol.
But uh, I am not going to sit around feeling pity for myself. Only losers do that.
Cause I really do think that 2009 is a great year for me.
Still, I am going to forward to the coming year and have a
new year resolutions ( for real ) and archive it and make my new year a better one.
- I will watch every single Man Utd 's match, unless they are showed in the midnight ( weekdays )
- I will start saving money, really.
- I will buy a brand new Man utd jersey, using my own money.
- I will try to pay for the story books that I want to buy.
- I will not stay up later than 1am during school days.
- I will attend at least three out of four times of extra-curriculum per week.
- I will finish my homework everyday, including Chinese essay ):
- I will do at least one addmath question per day.
- I will learn at least 5 new English words per day.
- I will update my blog frequently.
- I will finish my Friday's homework within 2 days ( Fri & Sat )
- I will not sleep in class anymore.
- I will make an exception if Pn.Chelvy is still my Sej teacher next year.
- I will take good care of my iPod, not even a single scratch on it.
- I will do revision for at least one subject every week.
- 1000 songs in my iTunes.
- I will read at least two Malay, Chinese and English essays every night before I hit the sack.
- I will discover a new GIMP technique per month.
- I will spent more time with family ( this is lame. I do this all the time. )
- I will not envy people. Cause I am really satisfied with what I have right now.
- I will make people around me happy :D
- I will still be a pervert.
- I will continue being sarcastic.
Well, I think thats all.
Its kinda random and pretty much a mess, here and there. But I like it better that way.
See, I am not going to set some impossible ( although nothing is impossible ) and useless goals. Like..
- I will not curse or swear.
C'mon, you and I know damn well that its pretty close to impossible. And to be truly honest, in my humble opinion, theres no biggie about cursing. It is just another way to express and vent your frustration and anger out. Unless you want to keep them locked up inside yourself and end up become a psycho one day.
- I will not online / reduce my online time to one hour per day.
That is so cruel and unrealistic. Imagine it, you restrict yourself away from the computer, and while you are chewing your books in your room, your mind is somewhere else - the computer. If then, you can't remember a thing from the books. So, what for?
- I will study everyday.
This is so lame.
- I will change my personality.
What for? I don't care if I get scolded in cinema. I don't care if teachers complain about me. I don't care if my attitude irks you or whatsoever. I don't care if you hate me.
- I will get straight As in SPM.
Blah. It was in my resolutions a while ago. But I crossed it out. No special reason, confidence is not there anymore.
P.S: Notice that I mentioned nothing about SPM in my resolutions? Its my senior year and I don't to have things jut evolve around me and SPM, SPM and books, books and me.
P.S: Good thing that my monitor is no longer functioning well :D I am getting pretty fed up with it so eventually, I will not come online so much teehee :D
Ok. I am done :D
Now...
Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve. Middle age is when you're forced to.
Enjoy your New Year eve
&
Happy Twenty-Ten!
Love, Mariky.
