I am going to update about my Taiwan trip right now :) Don't read if you are sleepy or lethargic or whatever.
I will try to make it as brief as possible :D
20th December
Went to
Ah Xian Dim Sum Restaurant to have breakfast. Man, I had to wake up at 7 something.
Came back and did a one last check.
We went to KLIA by taxis or MPVs, whatever people call it. One of the drivers was wearing Superman shirt! :D
Reached the airport and started waiting for our turn to check in.
Waiting...
And waiting...
And still waiting blah.
After checked in, did the usual stuff. Passport, body check and bla bla bla.
Went to
Burger King to have our lunch. Man, RM12++ for a burger?!
Daddy with his DLSR teehee.
Oh well, although the burgers there are really expensive like wtf. But they tasted really good! Yummm.
Guess we found a substitute for McDonald lol.
Headed to the boarding room.
Went on plane and bla bla bla. The journey was so bumpy and it made my head aches.
Reached Taoyuan Airport at night :)
You can see from the pic above that it was 15 degree celcius!
Spot that guy with a cap on? He was our tour guide :)
We went to this small and cruddy restaurant for um, supper.
The table was small and the foods were totally...yucky. Worst supper ever in my entire life.
Screw those guys who insisted to have supper cause they were hungry.
Went to the hotel. It was a golf resort :D and freezing cold.
There was an indoor coconut tree! Oh wait, is it Palm? o.e
Spot it? The plasma LCD tv? Cool righttt :D
21st December
Had buffet breakfast in the morning.
Wait, don't get over-excited when you heard the word "buffet". They were as terrible as the fact that school is going to start ( what the heck am I talking about )
We needed to go to Taipei by the high speed rail :D
And so, we went to the MRT station.
The MRT station looks pretty cool right, unlike Malaysia's.
On the train. I sat with daddy :D
Lololol. Look at the girl/aunty, she was taking a nap teehee.
Reached Taipei's station but most of our group members were lost cause it was really crowded.
So we had to wait for the tour guide to find those lost little sheep back.
Waiting...
It was a candid so excuse my retarded face pft.
My sis got bored so she decided to fill in the feedback form.
After about 10mins of waiting, we headed to National Taiwan Democracy Memorial Hall. It is the island's most impressive monument to the great Chinese Hero and bla bla bla.
Again, with his dslr sigh.
Oh, spot the huge, gigantic doll (or whatever it is ) behind him?
Have a closer look.
I have no clue why it was made for, maybe for some festivals, events, ceremonies or whatever.
But oh boy, it was really immense.
Ready for the group photo. Oh thankgod, my face was blocked by the photographer's arm :D
It was part of the building. And look at the stairs O:
I actually climbed up there ehehe. Even though, the weather was freaking chilly.
Tee-hee!
The inside.
I don't know what the heck that statue represents. It has something to do with history, I think hmm.
Me and my sister were looking staring at the guard. Man, he didn't even move an inch eventhough both of us were laughing out loud there.
Lolololol :D
Went to National Palace Museum. The world's largest assemblage of priceless Chinese art treasures.
They didn't allow anyone to take pictures there. Bummer! ):
The outside look of the musuem.
And now, the inside. Only the lobby though.
Went to the Martyr's Shrine to view an elaborate ceremony of changing guards hourly.
You have to reach there at the right time. Otherwise, you are gonna miss the guard changing thingy and have to wait for another hour.
Sis with the unmoving guard.
Oh look at the crowd. You must be wondering whats so special about the guards that managed to lure so many tourists to visit them.
Okay, this young man. He wouldn't even move, not an inch no matter what happened. But of course he would run for his life if earthquake or whatever disaster occurs duh.
Well, so he is not allowed to move any parts of his body except for his eyes. He has to stand there for an hour for goodness' sake gosh.
Bravo to him :D
After that, there was this guards marching session.
Everyone was following them bla bla bla (including me :B )
Oh my god, look at the bunch that following them.
It got quite boring after that. The guards shouted something that I couldn't even digest with my brain -yawns-
Lunchey-lunch time :D
They have Haagen Daz 's ice cream! Although I am not a big fan of ice cream. But my sis and cousin were craving for it.
Steamboat! I hated it.
Mum was sitting there, waiting for us (excluding me ) to bring her foods pfft.
Well well well, I was pretending to help out but the truth is, I only stood there doing nothing lol.
Thats me, in the picture! :D -points-
Mum asked me to take a picture of she and dad but Daddy was trying to act cool by NOT looking at my camera tsk tsk.
Full and bloated. Moved on to the Shilin Presidential Residence. Its the former house of the last president.
Not many pictures for the residence though. It was boooooooooring man.
Went to Hualien by Bullet Train woohoo.
..for 3 hours. Now, it doesn't sound so fun anymore right.
Walking into the Taipei Station.
The train is here..the train is here :D
Tick tock..tick tock..
After three freaking hours.
Hualien :)
Dinner. Buffet, again. Oh lord, save me.
The hotel lobby :)
What the fuck. Why did I look like I was zipping my pants o_o
Went out for a night brisk :D
And okay...our room.
If you say that thaaat was messy, stay tune for messier one lol.
I can't be able to continue. 2 days, and this is killing me.
I've spent the past 2 hours typing this post gosh.
I wil continue tomorrow :) Stay tune, people :D
Love, Marilyn.
